Located at 1750 E. Boulder Street in Colorado Springs, the facility is quite large. There are commemorative statues and placards all over the place, and room after room containing pictures and facts about past Olympians. There is also a free video visitors can watch, but it was damaged during my visit and so they cut it short. The main theme of the video is the Paralympics, where paraplegic people compete for trophies in various sports.
We took the tour of the facility, and were very glad we did. The guide really knew his stuff, and we got to go right into the Olympic training areas to see actual athletes doing their stuff. Along the way, the guide spouts off all kinds of interesting and sometimes amazing facts about the Olympic Training Center and its athletes.
Flash photography is not allowed during the tour in any training facility, but I found that the pictures came out decent anyhow. Just remember to hold the camera still! Also, be aware that there are a few stairs on the tour, so if you don't get around real well or don't want to climb for any reason, you might want to simply check out the ground floor and call it a day.
They also do training at the facility for the local fire department, and it's neat if you happen to be there when they set a building on fire, only to put it out again. It was one of the most intriguing part of the tour for us. They allow all the pictures you want in all outside areas of the training center. Once the tour is done, they invite you to hang about the Olympic Training Center all you like, but stay out of the buildings so the athletes can train.
