The project is a list of 25 songs that the Onion's A. V. Club thought would make fun and interesting covers. The game is the first band was given the full list of 25 songs and the opportunity to choose any song they wanted to try their hand at, musically. After a song is chosen, it is crossed off the list until the 25th band is left with whatever is left.
The project began on March 16th, 2010 and a new song is being broadcast on the A. V. Club's website every Tuesday for 25 weeks. It is all being done in a single 11 foot diameter round room in the Onion offices in Chicago.
