I stare out the open window,
and gaze into the dark night.
I see a black shape moving,
it gives me quite a fright.
The shadows are coming alive,
there are monsters everywhere.
They fill the night with terror,
I'm left here trembling in fear.
I close the open window,
and climb into my bed.
I grab onto the blanket,
and put it over my head.
When morning finally arrives,
it chases the monsters away.
I survived the scary night,
I'm ready to face the day.
