The first game on The Orange Box is Team Fortress Two. This is an insane multiplayer game. The first thing you do upon starting Team Fortress Two is too pick your class. Each class has different attributes and weapons which can easily turn the tide of any online ranked match. The classes are the Pyro, Heavy, Spy, Scout, Sniper, Medic, Engineer, Demoman or a regular Soldier. This game also has new game modes rather then the normal Team Slayer. Overall this game has the best graphics for a massive multiplayer war fare game I have ever seen.
Another game on The Orange Box is Portal. This intense time consuming single player game called Portal. This innovative new game will test many gamers patience and there ability to solve puzzles. This game takes place in a futuristic space like area. Players must immerse themselves in there environment in order to escape. In this game you are only armed with a gun that does not shoot bullets but instead it shoots portals. You then have to be able to manipulate the level in order to escape by using any objects located within the level. This game is not short and will provide many hours of enjoyment or frustration.
Of course this game has one of Valve's best sellers of all time Half Life. Half Life was first introduced in 1998 and is still a best seller to this day including over fifty gaming awards. Well The Orange Box includes Half Life 2 and Half Life Episode one and two. These games will provide you with many hours of fun. This game also works great and feels awesome with the Xbox 360 controller. The graphics on all the Half Life games are always great but the graphics I have seen on the Xbox 360 look suburb. The levels are long and there is almost never a boring spot. The artificial intelligence is also great making each level an achievement to conquer. Speaking of achievements if you purchase this game for the Xbox 360 console you will have a hard time getting one thousand out of one thousand since this game has ninety nine achievements. Half Life truly comes to life on the next generation consoles and is better then ever before.
All in all The Orange Box is not a purchase it is kind of like a gaming investment. You are paying sixty dollars the normal price for one Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 game but you are getting five excellent games that will not get boring due to the improved online aspect. To be honest if you purchase this game you really can not go wrong.
