The ork physiology is that it is grown, it is a living beast made from a combination of fungus and meat. If we could only figure out how to grow meat then we would never have to have a herd of cows. Therefore, it must be the cow farmers of the world that suppress the information of growing meat.
But I digress, orks are grown, they are not born in the usual sense, they one day become sentient once they are large enough and so dig themselves to the surface. If they are too deep then they have to wait for another ork to dig them out. Not all ork spores result in orks, they could just as well be gremlins, goblins, mushrooms or mold. It takes about a year for an ork spoor to grow into something, the longer it is allowed to grow the larger the creature that will emerge.
For example during WWII in Europe, because the humans were so busy fighting they were not out in the woods hunting mushrooms. Not to mention that all the bullets and bombs were scaring off the pigs. So the mushroom patches were allowed to grow unmolested, and one of the first things to hatch from them is the dreaded gremlin. There were many reports of gremlins, so many that it would be impossible to quote all the sources, so just quoting one source; the RAF proves that there were many gremlins.
Gremlins are the second thing to grow from ork spoor, mushrooms being the first, and if not controlled then the gremlins can cultivate the crop and soon there are goblins. If the crop continues to be unmolested then soon after there will be orks.
The common pig and all its various relatives love to root out stuff from the ground and eat it. Pigs also love meat, and will eat anything it can catch that tastes good. My father in law was a farmer and he can tell you what kind of damage a herd of pigs can do to a potato crop. Pigs are also used as "hunter dogs" in Europe to find certain kinds of fungus for us humans. We call it truffles, but it may very well be the stuff that becomes a gremlin.
There are many stories of ork wars in our past; some call it fiction because there is nothing but legend to tell of these creatures. All the physical evidence is gone, because the pig has developed into a dominant creature on this planet and they are the real reason that the orks have never returned.
This is why the planet earth is safe from any re-infestation of orks. We have pigs, and they will dig up and eat the spoor material long before it can fully develop into anything orky. Since the pig will eat it the spoor does not have a chance to grow to full size, and so the ork population is kept from becoming a threat to our planet.
To find out what kind of future we would have if the orks ever did make it back into a population that would confirm their existence, check out the book "Dakkatoof" for some new perspective of the future of humankind.
