The Dallas Cowboys have a tradition of doing well during their Thanksgiving Day game. The record is 27-14-1 and that includes the Jason Garrett Miracle during his first NFL début as starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in 1994. This year, the miracle man himself, Jason Garrett is the interim head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys will defend their home field against the New Orleans Saints at 4:15 ET today.

During his first two outings as head coach, Jason Garrett has managed to turn the lackluster Dallas Cowboys around. The Dallas Cowboys are now fired-up and walking with pride once again. It has been an entirely new team since Jason Garrett took the head position.

This year, the Dallas Cowboys go up against defending Superbowl champs, the New Orleans Saints. The New Orleans Saints have outscored their opponents 68 to 22 thus far this season. The New Orleans Saints are also on a two game winning streak.

However, the Dallas Cowboys are also on a two game winning streak. The Dallas Cowboys, with backup quarterback Jon Kitna holding the reins for the injured Tony Romo, have shocked fans and the New York Giants during Jason Garrett's first outing as head coach. The Detroit Lions came calling last Sunday and Dallas managed to close ranks and defend the home territory for the first time this year.

Can the Dallas Cowboys defeat the New Orleans Saints? Dallas has the home field advantage. But the lost their quarterback, have had plenty of bad publicity, and Jerry Jones even did something he said he would never do. Jerry Jones fired his head coach during the middle of the season. They are the underdogs, and have been written off by their critics and fans this year. But with Jason Garrett at the helm, the talented newcomers are getting time on the field and making some surprising moves. Jon Kitna scrambled 29 yards last Sunday to score a touchdown matching the franchise record held by another quarterback-Jason Garrett himself.

The Dallas Cowboys have the talent to defeat the defending Superbowl champs, the New Orleans Saints during the Thanksgiving Day game. They now have an excellent head coach calling the shots. Because nobody expects the Dallas Cowboys to do that well, the Dallas Cowboys may just shock everybody, especially the New Orleans Saints.

One thing is for sure, if Jason Garrett manages to pull this off, Jerry Jones had better forget about the term "Interim" and make Jason Garrett the permanent head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
