The Pacific Science Center is six acres of family fun. It is a science learning center that teaches different aspects of science in a fun filled environment. The Pacific Science Center is an educational and hands on experience that the whole family will enjoy. Plan to spend the entire day, as there is a lot to see and do.

Just a few of the permanent exhibitions at Pacific Science Center include: The tropical Butterfly House, where you can watch beautiful, exotic butterflies fly, sun themselves, and feed among tropical flowers. You can even view a brand-new butterfly emerge in the chrysalis viewing window. Kids Works, is a great place where children and (adults) can freeze their shadows on the Shadow Wall. The children can experiment with water at the stream table. And it includes a special area just for tots. The Science Playground, is a fun interactive zone that helps the young scientists learn: how an electric motor works, what a gyroscope does, how fast you can through a baseball and much, much more.

Other permanent exhibitions on display at the Pacific Science Center are the insect village, animal exhibits, body works, adventures in 3 dimension, a dinosaur exhibit, a high tech exhibit and more.

In addition to the permanent exhibits on display at the Pacific Science Center, they feature many different temporary exhibits. Some past or future exhibits have or will include: Professor Wellbody's Health & Wellness Academy where guests will be able to dodge flying particles at the sneeze wall, glimpse themselves in the future using interactive aging software and climb some musical stairs.

Another temporary exhibit is The Golden King and The Great Pharaohs. It is an exhibit that features more than 100 objects from King Tut's tomb as well as artifacts from ancient sites that represent over 2,000 years of ancient Egyptian history.

The Pacific Science Center Also Includes a few outdoor exhibits, you can ride the high rail bicycle that is 15 feet above the ground (on a rail that is 1" wide), you can spin a two ton granite ball with your bare hands, play with the water cannons or walk in the giant water wheel.

The Pacific Science Center also features an Imax theater for watching programs on one of Seattle's biggest screens, a live science show that presents live experiments to convey science concepts, a planetarium to learn about astronomy and a laser dome that offers magical laser light shows infused with 15,000 watts of music and sound.

The Pacific Science Center is a fantastic place for children to learn about science, in a fun, exciting and unique way.
