The Pail Of Water
In dawns early light, Find peace as the stars fade, And the light of day brings A new beginning of a day, A day of wonderment, A day of excitement, A day of adventure, A day that can never be replaced.
When you see, Do not see with your eyes,
But rather see with your heart, For your heart sees all. I saw something, Now it is gone, Was it really there? Or was it just a hope of something I wanted to be? Why didn't I hold onto it when I saw it? Why didn't you hold onto what you had?
Love to the extreme, For you have but one life, And only one life to live, So live it the best you can, Love with all your heart, For your heart knows all, If you just open it up and let it talk to you.
Let jealousy be cast out, For what is jealousy, But what you wish were happening to you, Instead of to them, The past is past, And should be left in the past, Don't be a stranger to the one you love. Remember there are different shades of love, Of caring, Of wanting to be, Of what is real.
Are you vain? Do you think this poem is about you? Is this a shoe, does it fit you? Well it is not what you think, But rather how I felt at the time I wrote this. As with so many poems that are written, Just something from the writers head. What is true and What is real? Did you spill the pail of water, Or did it just fall out of the pail?

OH Bravo, You do have a way with words...
Meeeeow! I am so glad you are back, and what an excellent piece to bring with you. This is very deep, personal, and wise to me. I speak this to many of my younger co-workers who always turn to me for advice. Excellent work as always. Oh, and if I don't leave again, neither can you!!!
great to see you back!!!!!!!!
Sometimes the heart does not see what the head knows is there, and sometimes those Rose colored glasses can cover even the heart,
making Heartvision not so clear....... Rose colored glasses fit very well over thin eyebrows although they can make no difference in the height and haircolor of the one wearing them, thus the heart does depend on what the eyes see in many cases, otherwise these things would never even be noticed...PEACE
I am so pleased to see you back Ken...I always love your poems.....

Sometimes we "think" we see love when actually it is ..lust, friendship etc....
Our heart tells the story..not the head !...Excellent Poem !!....very thought provoking !!!

Sometimes, seeing things with our heart is far more meaningful than most things that we see with our eyes...beautiful and thoughtful poem, welcome back, my friend.
