The winds are changing here in Douglas County, Georgia. For those Christians that live here, you know what I'm referring to. Visions of greatness for this county have been placed in the hearts of many here. And it all seems to circulate around one special place --The Pantry.
The Pantry is a local food bank here in Douglasville, GA. But anyone who has been there can tell you that it is not just any food bank. It is much, much more than that. This is a place where lives are being changed. People are coming for food, but are leaving with something much more lasting -- faith. People are now coming through the doors with a desire to be prayed over by the many prayer warriors serving there. Stories of the miraculous happenings occurring at The Pantry are being told throughout Douglas County. The sick are being healed, jobs are being found, and needs are being met.
Those that serve there weekly are finding that it is a greater blessing to help those in need than they ever could have imagined. You will find a core group of people from various churches throughout the county serving in unity every Saturday morning; working sacrificially to provide the people coming in with food and prayer. It is a wonderful place -- but you shouldn't take my word for it. If you are in Douglas County, or even in a nearby county, you should visit The Pantry and find out how you can get involved with the work that is taking place there. I guarantee you will not regret it.
