When people think of their favorite camping movie The Parent Trap probably doesn't come to mind. However, it is my favorite camping movie because it is a sweet and smart camping movie. However, the theme of camping in this movie is subtle. I consider The Parent Trap a camping movie because Susan and Sharon meet at camp and plan to reunite their parents. In addition, there is a pivitol camping trip toward the end of the film. The Parent Trap is an unlikely camping movie that has a warm family feel to it. In short, this Disney movie has much going for it.

1. It's A Disney Film: Disney films are always funny and and warm. They leave the audience with a good feeling. This movie is no exception because it is heartwarming to see sisters reunite for the common goal of getting their parents back together.

2: Haley Mills: Haley Mills was a Disney darling in the 1960s. She did a wonderful job playing twin sisters Sharon and Susan. It must have been challenging playing a California tomboy and a Boston debutant. However, she very convincing in both roles.

3. Maureen O'Hara: She was perfectly cast as the feisty Margaret McKenrick, Susan and Sharon's mother. She played a Boston debutant to a tee.

4: Brian Keith: He played Mitch Evers who was a rancher with a heart of gold. He was also perfectly casted in this role.

5. The Camping Trip: This is one of the best parts of The Parent Trap. I loved every trick the girls played on Vicki, such as telling her that hitting sticks together would frighten mountain lions away. I also liked that there was a bunch of trout to eat and that Vicki didn't like trout. The camping trip is Vicki's swan song.

6. The Meaning: The Parent Trap has a wonderful message of the importantance of family. It also has the message of forgiveness. Moreover, it also is about love.

7: The Romantic Ending: The trap that the girls set works because their parents do get remarried. I am such a romantic and I love happy endings.

8: The Song: Let's Get Together sung by Haley Mills is a catchy tune. The song fit perfectly into the film.

The Parent Trap is an unlikely camping movie with heart. Sharon and Susan meet at summer camp and they plan to reunite their parents. In addition, the camping trip is a very important part of this film. It sets the family reunion in motion. The Parent Trap is my favorite camping movie because it has much going for it.
