Park Central Retirement Community: The Ware Memorial Care Center
As if the other facilities that are part of Park Central Retirement Community weren't wonderful enough, there's the Ware Memorial Care Center, a licensed nursing facility. The goal of Ware Memorial is to provide different levels of care, including a specialized Alzheimer's unit. The facility was also named as one of only a few Eden Alternative homes in the state of Texas, which is classified as a home that commits itself providing the highest levels of care, while maintaining the environment of a real home, not a nursing home. This includes the idea that residents' environments should be filled with pets, plants, children and family. Ware Memorial Care Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditationi of Healthcare Organizations, and has received the 1998 Northwest Texas Quality Award. All these accomplishments are great, but the most important thing about Ware Memorial is that when you have a family member or loved one who needs a higher level of care, they'll get that and so much more here. They can have a dailiy life filled with all the things every one of us should have in our golden years. Ware Memorial is unlike any other nursing facility for this reason. Families who entrust their loved ones to the facility can know that they have a real home there.
Now that you've read for yourself why Park Central Retirement Community is so special, and how great the facilities are, you should also know that Park Central is like a small city. Residents there have their own medical clinic, which is located on the first floor of Ware Memorial Care Center. The clinic is under the direction of a general physician with 30 years experience in geriatrics, and it provides urgent care services as well as family and elder care-and they do take Medicare. Residents outside of the Park Central Retirement Community are able to visit the clinic during office hours as well, and the physician does make house calls to Park Central residents.
The Jackson Fountain and Grill is also one of the things that make Park Central so special. It's open to the public, not just residents, and has the best Cajun food in Amarillo! I know, I know, hard to believe you could find great food in the midst of a retirement community, but let me tell you, Jackson Square is one of the best burger and Cajun places in Amarillo, already a city with exceptional cuisine. They also have a jukebox filled with the oldies and a soda fountain, which is alot of fun. Jackson Square Fountain and Grill is the place to go when you're looking for just plain great food and fun. Try the homemade pralines!
Park Central Retirement Community also has a charming little mall in its midst, which houses a pharmacy for residents, gift shop, salon, gym, and that's also where you'll find Jackson Square Fountain and Grill.
Outlining the facilities, incomparable services, quality of life, and fun that Park Central Retirement Community provides, it's easy to see why it's far and away the best place in Amarillo or the Panhandle for retirees who want a home that doesn't feel like a nursing home. Go by, take a tour, and see for yourself. It's more like a resort than a retirement community! And the staff at Ware Memorial Care Center are some of the most caring, selfless, and energetic individuals you will find at any facility. If you or a loved one live in Amarillo, or the Panhandle, or somewhere else and are thinking of coming here, please give Park Central Retirement Community a call, they'll be happy to show you around, so you can see why its the best place around for so many reasons.
