A song can bring the past
So powerfully it plays
You may want it to last
Forever and a day
One more can turn the tide
and break you down to tears
Emotions you can't hide
while swallowing your fears.
You choose which past today
for moments while you hear
the melody you play
was from another year.

Post a CommentVery nice poem. I think we all have songs that take us back.
Cool. Thanks. I love good memories.
Yes, I was listening to Lil Wayne's 'Lollipop' song the whole day. Not forever but an entire day so, yeah, I can relate to his poem. :-)
