You basically have the same foods every day, but are allowed to use different dressings on your salads and pasta, making this diet much less boring than your usual variety.
Warning!
Before you start, be warned that this diet should not be kept to for more than about a week, otherwise your body will begin expecting a certain amount of food, and not only will you stop losing weight, there may be some health risks involved.
(Don't ask me, do I look like a doctor?)
Avoid the following foods:
While you're on the diet, you're going to want to avoid certain foods and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, salty or sodium-rich foods, red meats (i.e pork and beef), sugars, oil or any oily food, nuts or seeds, high sugar or calorie fruits (including bananas, dates and figs), pulses, fried foods, fizzy drinks, dairy products and caffeine, or any junk food.
Drinks:
During the day, you're only allowed carbonated water, mineral water, and tap water - however, I've known people who have done the same diet, on a filter, and there hasn't been much of a difference in the amount of weight lost.
Also, green tea tends to work quite well, or warm water with a dash of lemon in it.
You'll want to have about four to eight glasses per day, at least.
The Diet:
Breakfast:
Fresh fruit (apples, pears, grapes and oranges work the best) and shredded wheat with skimmed / non-fat milk and strawberries - you can also substitute the milk with fresh orange juice, if you'd rather.
Mid-Morning Snack (around 11am):
You may have some sweet popcorn (steer well away from the caramelized or salted variety, and I'd only have about three handfuls at most, if I were you.), and some more fresh fruit - try pineapple, I find about five rings keep me going until lunch time.
Lunch:
Salad, with a low-calorie dressing - i.e, a lemon and herb dressing, some spaghetti (no dressing on this), as well as some pasta salad - I'd recommend some plain tomato sauce with this, keep it nice and plain.
Afternoon Snack (about 3pm):
A fruit smoothie, consisting of half a frozen banana, half a cup of frozen peaches, and half a cup of skimmed milk (blended, obviously), some vegetable sticks (carrots and celery works best for me, but it's up to you, obviously), and some more popcorn.
Dinner:
Some steamed vegetables, some salad (try and keep it mostly green, too much red cabbage can make you quite bloated), some fettuccini with tomato sauce - only about a handful, mind, as this diet can tend to bloat you very much.
Evening Snack (about 7pm):
Up to an ounce of chocolate (about four squares from an average bar), and about a handful of sweet popcorn.
