The Peering Light of Day

Light shines through the parted clouds and finds its way to peer into my cold clear window.
The silence of night has left, and its morning brother has come with the sound of the sun, the joyful songs of daytime.
As days passed are remembered in a mind's dream, the dreams of nights passed are felt in the shadows of the morning trees.
Rain has died, the wind is alive,
And promises peace in its travels.
The love remains inside of a stone that lies on the ocean's floor, but in my heart cannot be found; my soul has been blinded by my own lies.
