Each day when we go through our daily routines, we encounter and interact with others. We greet each other, tell stories, jokes, and ask questions. How are we to know that the person we are speaking with is giving a genuine or truthful response and reaction?

Perhaps you haven't put much thought into this subject. You think all smiles are real and genuine. How could a person fake a smile?

Well, my skeptical friend, it is true. A smile can definitely be deceptive. People are capable of producing a fake smile. People are also capable of detecting these false grins. It is simply a matter of knowing what to look for when playing detective.

Now the big question arises. Do you really want to know the tips to spotting a fake smile? Do you really want to know it when your friend is giving a great big fake grin in response to your best joke or story?

Okay. So maybe you do want to know the secrets. You should visit the link at the end of this article to play the fake smile game and learn more about spotting a fake smile. If you think you are one step ahead of deceptive people, try this fun exercise at the link listed below. You will find a test challenging you to determine fake smiles from genuine smiles. You will have one chance to view a 15 second clip of 20 random smiling faces. You have to choose whether you felt the smile was genuine or fake. After you make a decision for each of the 20 faces, your score will be totaled and you will have a chance to see the correct answers.

I really enjoyed completing this exercise. I thought it was really challenging yet a lot of fun to try and distinguish a genuine smile from a fake one. I scored a rather decent 16 out of 20 correctly labeled smiles. This website is very educational and fun. I learned quite a bit from visiting and participating in it. I also ventured off and visited other areas of the site and found many more interactive learning tools to play with.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and quite educational.
