If you would like to have the perfect ponytail here are some steps that you should take in order to achieve this.
First, you will need to start with clean hair; if your hair is not clean you are going to have trouble because if your hair is oily, the band that is holding your ponytail is going to come loose.
If you have dry hair and you have not conditioned it, then you could be running into risk of getting split ends. So, first you must make sure that you shampoo your hair well and use a conditioner, unless your hair is oily. After applying conditioner, you should towel dry your hair.
There is no reason to blow-dry your hair for the ponytail look. You may want to impart a little bit of gel to your hair it will give your hair a shiny look help keep fly-away hairs under control.
The best way to make a ponytail is to lean forward and brush all of your hair towards your face. Bring all of the hair from the back of your head forward. Once you have completed this, then you can gather your hair in one cluster and apply the holder that you will be using.
I know that many people would like to use elastic bands, but if you are going to use elastic bands please make sure that they are coated or covered in material like scrunchies. The next step is to stand up straight and align your ponytail to the spot where you would like it to hang from.
Some people like a ponytail that hangs almost from the top of the head others like it right in the middle, and some like the ponytail situated even lower. How and where on your head that you want your ponytail to hang is completely up to you.
You also can do many variations with your ponytail appearance as well. Perhaps, if you do not prefer it at the back of your head, you can place your ponytail to one side. What you will need to do is turn your head to the side to collect all your hair together and place your ponytail around your head, now you have a side ponytail.
There are many different ways that you can dress up your ponytail, such as placing ribbons around the ponytail holder. I love placing ribbons around my ponytail because it really dresses it up and I can choose to use different colors to match my outfits.
If you want a style that is cute, fun looking, and keeps the hair away from your face, then I would suggest the Ponytail.
