The Perfect Sci-Fi Match for the Cast of the 'Big Bang Theory'

Rolando Cruz
Let's be honest, to match up the cast of characters of the "Big Bang Theory," with their perfect mate would require more than a dot com service like eHarmony or PerfectMatch. In fact the perfect mate for this lovable band of socially dysfunctional intellects may not even exist in the real world; our gang is in all probability more suited for the type of relationship that only Sci-Fi could supply. Here then is the perfect Sci-Fi relationship match-up for the characters of the "Big Bang Theory."

Dr. Sheldon Cooper and Science Officer T'Pol
Dr. Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons ) probably needs to look beyond Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) for his perfect mate; after all, the picky physicist has never claimed the equally dysfunctional Dr. Fowler as a girlfriend. In the perfect Sci-Fi world, Sheldon's match would be Vulcan science officer T'Pol (Jolene Blalock) of the TV series, "Star Trek: Enterprise." T'pol would be equipped with the logical intellect that Sheldon seeks, and would also come with an equally amusing disdain for the human race, along with a physique that may finally arouse the good doctor.

Howard Wolowitz and Terminator Cameron Phillips
Sure, Howard Wolowitz's (Simon Helberg ) dream girl is Kate Sackhoff (aka Starbuck in "Battlestar Galactica), but let's get real, the hard drinking, rough Starbuck is not a suitable match for this degreed Engineer still living with his mother. However, by virtue of his affinity for robotics, Wolowitz is probably better suited for a cyborg like Cameron Phillips (Summer Glau) from the TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. " Wolowitz's chance meeting with Summer Glau on a train in one episode serves as proof that he would be attracted to Cameron.

Dr. Leonard Hofstandter and Apprentice Witch Billie Jenkins
Let's face it, Leonard (Johnny Galeck ) will always have a thing for Penny, but since hooking him up with the girl that broke his heart is out of the question, perhaps he can be matched up with her doppelganger, Bille Jenkins (Kaley Couco) from the TV series "Charmed." Never mind that Billie is a witch who works outside the lines of conventional physics, the fact is that she is a dead ringer for Penny (since both characters are played by Couco), which should be enough for Leonard.

Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali and Captain Kara "Starbuck" Thrace
It's a known fact that Raj (Kunal Nayyar ) can't talk to women unless he has a drink or two in him, and it's also a fact that Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) likes to put down her share of drinks, so the odds of these two hitting it off in a galactic bar far, far, away may be good. Raj also seems to be in touch with his feminine side, watching shows like "The Good Wife" or chick flicks like "Twilight," a total contrast to the more masculine Starbuck, and since opposites are bound to attract, this may be a good match all around.

Penny and Peter Parker/Spider-Man
There are striking similarities between Penny (Kaley Couco) and Mary Jane Watson, the girlfriend of Peter Parker/Spider-Man; for one, they are both aspiring actresses who work as waitresses when not acting; for another, they both tend to like or have liked geeky, intellectual guys. So, in the absence of Leonard, Penny would probably be able to hit it off with Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man. The fact that Spider-Man comes with the superhero powers that Leonard lacks may make this an even better hook-up.
