The Perfect Way to End the Day
I have an invite for Sunday, let's seal the deal
Fried chicken wings, collard greens, mac and cheese?
Watch me clean my plate and ask for more, please!
Croissants, warm rolls and monkey bread
Hmmm, you are a Godsend, my mind you have read
I can wash it down with your fresh brewed ice tea
You're a perfect host who knows how to satisfy me
On to the next course, It's time to continue
My plate its empty. What's on the desert menu?
Strawberry, chocolate or vanilla, always a delightful taste
How about a scoop of each? It certainly won't go to waste
You didn't have to, but I am glad you went out of your way
Good friends and good food, a perfect way to end a day
