The Perks of Microsoft Live Meeting for Businesses

Businesses and corporations no longer have to drive long miles or spend hours on an airplane to come together for training events or meetings. Microsoft has made it easier to hold online meetings and collaborate ideas while staying at their own desk with the development of Live Meeting. The new software has many perks and plenty of reasons for businesses to make it a staple in their companies.

One perk of Live Meeting is the option of less traveling. Companies can log on to Live Meeting together at a given time to see and hear each other via web-cam and audio. This will allow companies to spend less paying out extra money for miles traveled, and also employees won't have to empty their wallets spending money upfront for gas. Less gas is also better for the environment as well!

Another perk of Live Meeting is the option to collaborate real time. The software allows people logged into the meeting to share programs and edit content all in real time. The speaker simply chooses the "content" link and then can choose to share a program on his/her desktop. Participants can then participate in the program to add or edit content during the conference. Examples of programs that could be shared for business use are Microsoft Word, notebook and Excel. This feature could be important for developing products, spreadsheets and presentations.

Not only can members of the meeting at Live Meeting collaborate in real time, but they can also see and hear one another via web-cam. Everybody can see and hear the speaker of the meeting. Also for those who may have questions and comments, they may submit their video/audio question for everybody else to see and hear too. This feature could possibly invoke an important business strategy session or discussion.

Conferences on Live Meeting may also be recorded for later use to share with other employees who might have missed the meeting. Both the audio and video can be saved to view at a later time and saved to the hard drive, flash drive or any other storage device or website. This is also useful to review the meeting to go over important key points or to review special business strategies that will be fruitful for the company.

Live Meeting also gives a business the ability to meet with thousands of individuals in one place at one time. This is ideal for global corporations who may reside in different parts of the world (just make sure you check your time zones before scheduling!). With many logging in from different areas of a corporation from a variety of places around the world-there could be array of outlooks and ideas on decisions and choices that can be made.

Microsoft Outlook can also be used with Live Meeting. By doing so, a business can send invitations letting everybody know about the impending online conference. Separate invitations may be send to different branches with includes audio information that reveals important details about a conference or product development study.

For a money and time saving investment, Microsoft's Live Meeting could be the foot forward for the future in many businesses and corporations. The software has many perks that allows for many functions that can be done without leaving your desk at the office.
