Families who do not yet have pet dogs and are considering getting one should carefully make this choice. Not all dogs are safe to have around children. There are some breeds of dogs that are temperamental and moody. Parents should consider getting a gentle breed. A breed that is loving and loyal. Labs are loving, loyal, and more. They listen well, and learn quickly. They have personalities!
Labs are very sweet and caring. They seem to know when you don't feel well and will stay by your side. That's just the way they are. When you ask them to sit they will. When you train them to shake you'll only have to show them one or two times.
Labs, whether they be golden black or mixed, are remarkably good with children. They love them, and protect them. In fact, Labs are like security systems. Even better yet, they do what a security system can not...they can let you know when the mail is arriving or when someone pulls into your driveway.
Labs are a larger sized dog. They have a loud deep bark as well. Their size does not match their personality. They are actually big babies.
Labs are so much like little kids. They love to play and have fun. They want and need attention. They smile. Yes, they actually can SMILE, and they do, often.
Teaching Labs new trick or to simply obey is very simple. You simply talk to them, and show them. Labs only need to be shown a couple of times. They learn quickly. Then they listen well. Once a Lab knows what to do or what not to do they remain loyal.
Labs are not temperamental at all. Any dog will react in certain circumstances, such as someone touching their food or their face. Labs are not likely to bite. Labs are most likely to do nothing. Well, they may lick your hand repeatedly giving you kisses.
Of all of the breeds of dogs that families are considering Labs rank at the top on the list of "the best" for family pets. They are loving and very loyal. They will protect their families, you and your children, faithfully. They learn and listen well, this does include potty training. If you treat them well they will be the best pets you've ever had. They will interact well with your children so long as your children are taught to interact well with them. Thanks for reading and take care!

Post a CommentI am in a wheel chair and I waited for 3 years with no luck from the breeders, so, I got on the Net and prayed to God to help me and bingo, I found a Black Lab (Bear) in a shelter. He now owns 90% of the bed, but I love him so much. I was told that they are just to work and thats it. So, I have taught Bear (in 2 months) that the vest means work, and no vest means play time. I live in the city and I taught him to Stop and Wait for me at every driveway and every street corner. I am sad right now because he is mad at me and I do not know why. But if I pull a treat out of my pocket he suddenly loves me more than anything! I have a broken spine, and I try to play as much as I can with him, and I think it may be that he wants more of me (Playing wise)
He is now 4 yrs old last week, and he is 115 Lbs. He is bigger than my throw rug and his feet are the size of my hands! God truly blessed me when he found Danny (now Bear) for me! The part that breaks my heart is that whoever owned him before
I love them too...we currently have...ummm...twelve! We'll end up with four...lol...they are SO loving :)
Love labs and you are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
