The Philips Streamium Music Player: Play Music Anywhere in the House
Immediate Access to Your Music Library
The Philips Streamium Music Player is able to connect through Wi-Fi to your computer, and gives you a way to play your music files, and connect to thousands of internet radio stations at the drop of a hat.
The Philips Streamium Music Player also gives you a free 30 day trial of Rhapsody® Music Service which is apparently the only online music service it is compatible with. If you want to get Rhapsody® after the trial you need to pay for the service.
However you can listen to thousands of free internet radio stations on the Philips Streamium Music Player. Music is always at your fingertips.
(Rhapsody® service is $12.95 a month for unlimited or $14.99 a month for Rhapsody® to Go. This is one downside to the Philips Streamium Music Player.)
The sound quality of the Philips Streamium Music Player is actually a lot better than you might think from looking at it. The speakers inside the Streamium are angled precisely to produce great sound. There are four speakers, two at the front, and two on the side. It is small, about the size of a radio alarm clock. It sounds like a pretty decent stereo though.
I really liked the color LCD display on the Philips Streamium Music Player that is easy to scroll through to find a particular song on your PC. All you need to do is type a few letters of the Artist Name, or song title to find what you want. This is one of the better search engines for a music player that I have seen. Once your song is playing, the screen will show the album art.
The Philips Streamium Music Player has a remote control that gives you even easier accesses to the music you want to hear.
So if music portability within your house is something you like, get the Philips Streamium Music Player. You can take it outside on the patio during a bar-b-que, and keep everyone dancing.
The Philips Streamium Music Player retails for $329.99 at Target and other stores.
