The Picture

Rissa Watkins

Look at her

So happy and alive

Not knowing the child should be 3 months

The one she couldn't have

The only tether to life

Another child of 3

can't die yet

Must live by rote

Aching to be her once again

The picture falls from my hand

good poem. very powerful subject. (plus its always nice to come across someone on here who realizes poems don't have follow AABB end rhyme as if it were the law of god.) keep it up.
