The Pink Cross in the Battleground of the Mind
The Pink Cross Foundation is a faith-based IRS approved 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to reaching out to adult industry workers offering emotional, financial and transitional support so your support of it financially is support of an amazingly effective ministry. They largely focus on reaching out to the adult film industry while offering support to women and men. The Pink Cross Foundation offers free education and resources to recover. In my earlier Associated Content article, "The Ugliness of Pornography", I revealed that this disease of the mind and addiction of the soul is infiltrating into our churches and it is extending its deadly tentacles deeper and deeper into our society. The reach of pornography extends to our children today due to the easy internet access most homes have.
The Pink Cross Foundation is hard at work to combat the community deterioration due to pornography and prostitution through attempts to educate legislation on the state and federal levels in order to enforce health and safety laws within the pornography industry. Their goal is to protect adult industry workers from sexually transmitted diseases and other job-related abuses, to ameliorate the secondary negative effects of pornography on the general public and to toughen laws to protect children from accessing online pornography.
The Pink Cross Foundation, a humanitarian outreach and international movement will respond to needs of people who are victims of pornography. Their mission is to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. This ministry is motivated by the amazing love of God.

Some have lashed out but many have returned and/or apologized. We're talking about damaged, addicted people, you see how people lash out at their loved ones on shows like "Intervention"? The Pink Cross started out as a bare bones grass roots effort and remains so. If there were THOUSANDS of Shelley Lubbens out there she wouldn't get so much attention, sadly, she's mostly alone. Her and the girls are out there in the gutter, in the street offering love and hope to people. Most everyone else they encounter is offering money, sex, and drugs. If Shelley truly didn't feel a calling for this she would have quit a long time ago because she gets TONS of abuse and scrutiny. One homemade rag-tag organization taking on a multi billion dollar industry. She's doing a great job and loves the Lord with all her heart, of this I'm certain.
Just to address some of the criticisms.
I know Shelley and she is sincere, take a look at the background and some of the other writings from the authors of the hit pieces cited here.
These are vehemently anti-Christian and pro pornography people, the type who throw the word "fundie" around and mock believers.
Financially Shelley and her husband also go into their OWN POCKET to help these people. She opens her heart and home to these people. These are damaged people. She has to teach some of them things we take for granted like table manners, how to dress normally, etc.
Many of these girls were sexually abused and come from broken homes. Shelley is SINCERE in her mission and does the best she can, this started a bare bones grass roots effort and remains so.
