The Pirate Ship Float by Manley - A Pool Toy that Will Be Popular This Summer

Arthur Kirk
Do you have a pool and you are looking for a new toy for your children to enjoy during the spring and summer warm weather seasons? Well I highly recommend you check out the Manley Pirate Ship Float. This is a pirate themed boat that floats in your pool and can be used for kids to climb and play in while they are in your pool. The popularity of pirates has increased in recent years and your kids would probably love the Pirate Ship Float manufactured by Manley.

The young kids in my family have a lot of fun with it. You can find it at most retailers for about $30, and it is large enough that three of my five year old relatives were able to play in it at once. It is recommended for children up to age ten, but honestly for multiple kids to play in it, I would recommend the five to seven year old age range.

One of the things the children love about the Pirate Ship Float from Manley is that it has a little hatch that pops open on the bottom. Manley refers to this as an escape hatch, but the kids I know use it more to sneak up on their friends from under the boat. Of course there are a few other extras with this Manley Pirate Ship Float to continue the Pirate theme.

Those items include an inflatable pirate sword. Don't worry parents, with it being inflatable it limits the damage your child can do to their friends as they play pirate. It also includes and oversized water gun that comes with the Manley Pirate Ship as well. The range for this water gun is not as good as you might think when you first see it. Nevertheless, it is sufficient for playing in the pool.

One thing I do have to suggest to parents is to watch their children closely when using the Manley Pirate Ship in their pool. Once there are two and especially with three children it become very easy to fall off the float. If the children are near the edge of the pool they can run the risk of head injury against the edge of the pool. This is especially important with the younger aged children for the recommended age group.

As with other large inflatable toys, this is not meant for use in the open water in areas such as the ocean, rivers, bays, and ponds. Most public swimming pools will not permit you to bring it as well, so you will need to have a private pool to enjoy the Manley Pirate Ship Float.
