The Poetry Market is for Poets Looking to Make Money

If you are a poet and looking to get paid for your work, here are a few places that will buy your poems. Most of the markets listed in the Poetry Market that I have found, do not pay in cash, but in copies. I have only included the places that buy your poetry. If you are a professional, you shouldn't do anything for free unless it is for charitable reasons. You can still build your poets resume with small payment, which is better than being paid in nothing but copies.

Barnwood only publishes poems of excellence and does not include poetry with racism, sexism and other prejudices.Submit: 1-3 poems, accepts simultaneous submissions; no poems that were published previously. SASE needed; only reads submissions from September 1-May 31^st only. If accepted will be published in a day.
Response Time: One month
Payment: $25 per poem, one-time rights
Books/Chapbooks: Query with sample poems, cover letter a bio(brief) and published credits, responds in a month.

This is for poets who live in Washington or work there in the DC metro region. They publish spoken word, academic and experimental work. Also anything that does not fit in any category.
Submit: Submission is by invitation only. 4-8 poems per author. Sometimes themes are published. Look on the website for guidelines.

This online newsletter publishes fantasy, science fiction, alternate history, sword and sorcery, horror short stories, illustrations, poems and movie and book reviews. The poetry they want is fantasy, spooky horror, science fiction, and speculative. They will not accept "horror with excessive blood and gore."
Submit: Up to 5 poems. Less than 100 lines, accept poems that were previously published but no simultaneous submissions. E-Mail submissions are accepted, you can paste them in the body of the message. Include your mailing address, and a two-line biography. Submissions are read all year, but seasonal poems should be submitted six months ahead. Publication upon acceptance is 1-2 months. Regularly comments on rejected poetry. Guidelines can be found on the website.
Response: 4 to 6 weeks

They would like free verse and traditional poetry with biblical themes-no avant gard, or forced rhyming.Submit: Up to 5 poems, 5 lines to 20 lines. They will published previously published work and simultaneous submissions as well as e-mail submissions(without attachments, just pasted in the e-mail) Cover letter; publication upon acceptance is up to a year. Uses themes, you can find a list of themes and guidelines on the website but you will have to send a SASE.
Response: 2 months
Payment: $20 and two contributors copies
First, reprint, electronic and one-time rights will be acquired.
