Untouchables
Brandon Roy will not be traded. He is an All-Star and leader of the squad. It would take the likes of LeBron, Kobe, or Wade in order to entice him out of Portland, but Portland may say no due to the city's love of him. Greg Oden is another untouchable. His trade value is very low, but his potential is very high. If he can stay healthy, he will push this team to another level.
You can look, but don't touch
LaMarcus Aldridge is an interesting player in this team. He is not quite an All-star, but he is a very skilled player and not a role player at all. Rumors have circled over the years like a trade for Amare or Bosh would happen in a package deal that would include Aldridge. However, he will only be traded for the sure thing and most likely an upgrade in the PF position. Pryzbilla won't be traded either, as he is their only healthy center and a proven player. He is among the best back-ups in the league.
We want to keep them so we'll say no
Batum, Fernandez, and Bayless won't be traded unless it is for a large upgrade. However, Portland has expressed interest in keeping these players. Bayless should be the point guard of the future, Batum the SF of the future, and Fernandez a solid back-up in the SF/SG positions.
Hmm...I'm listening
Sergio Rodriguez may be traded as he has a little upside. He can become a solid back-up point guard, but Portland already has a couple solid back-ups now. Steve Blake may be traded, too, for the same reason.
You want him...take him
Channing Frye was thrown into the Randolph trade. Although he has contributed, Portland will probably not resign him. He will probably be released during the summer.
Take your pick
Portland has always been the most active during the draft. While they have the components of pulling off trades to move up the draft, it is not as clear to see if they will keep the pick and draft a solid back-up or simply trade them for a proven player.
