The next time you watch a movie filled with sex, drugs and violence, realize that other countries are viewing it as well, and that what they are watching is what they think America is about. Do you want to be viewed in such a way?
Just look at what happened during Katrina. All of those people suffered for the longest time in a tragedy that was absolutely unthinkable, yet it happened, here in America. Yes, there were some bad people who interfered with the rescue efforts, but there were several innocent people trapped in that environment.
The world watched on with eyes and mouths wide open as the news media broadcasted pictures of dead people lying among the victims. Mothers holding their children. Defenseless elderly citizens. And those helpless people looked directly into the camera, pleading to be rescued while the world stared at the television, shaking their heads at us.
Hollywood gives us "bad boys" in the movies with filthy mouths and minds, strutting themselves with half nude, trashy girls. Video games are ridiculously violent and vulgar. America is seen by the world as being filled with adultery, fornication, lewdness, drunkenness and violence.
Entertainment and the news media paint a very bad picture of America. I don't know what kind of place Hollywood is, but where I live, the people simply are not like those that Hollywood shows to the world. We have our problems, but not even close to the scale that Hollywood portrays.
America is not an adulterous, wicked nation. The majority of Americans are still God-fearing, flag-waving, compassionate, caring people. We are not the filthy, vulgar-mouthed, lewd, fornicating, arrogant, warmongering hypocrites that entertainment makes us out to be. However, people around the world see America through the eyes of entertainment and the news media which portrays us as a wicked people.
As long as Americans tolerate and support these violent and vulgar forms of entertainment, it will grow and we will be constantly viewed by the whole world as Babylon- the great whore.
