The Power of Dawn Plus Hand Renewal Dish Washing Liquid

Review of Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Washing Liquid

The trusted brand name of Dawn hand dish washing liquid has been advertised for decades to cut grease. Now Dawn is advertising their new product- Dawn Plus Hand Renewal.

Dawn Plus Hand Renewal is a hand dish washing product that claims to improve the look and feel of your hands in five uses. The label of Dawn Plus Hand Renewal states it also contains Vitamin E. Other than another sticker proudly stamped "Tough Cleaning Power", there is nothing on the bottle related to the beautification claims. There is a toll free phone number to call with questions though.

I was curious to know if I would be rewarding myself by washing the dishes everyday with Dawn Plus Hand Renewal dish liquid, so I bought a bottle of the Pomegranate Splash version. It cost about $3 at Walmart.

I have now washed my dishes innumerable times as the bottle is about empty. I can say that the quality of the dish washing liquid was just as good as my previous brand. I noticed no difference in the way that it cleaned dishes. The smell was nice but I felt the smell was so light that it might as well have been unscented.

Still, I didn't buy it because I wanted a better smelling dish washing liquid or a stronger grease cutting formula (which Dawn doesn't appear to be claiming for this product). I bought this product in hopes of improving the look and feel of my hands in five uses- or even ten or fifteen.

Unfortunately, I cannot say one way or the other that it worked. Before I used the Dawn Hand Renewal dish liquid, my hands were wrinkled and had lost their youthful look years possibly before from harsh cleaning products. After using this product, my hands are still wrinkled.

I know that dish liquid cannot be a miracle beauty product. However, I would think that this product would work on younger women or those with better cared for hands.

Also, I would like to see the company put more details about their claim on the bottle. For instance, does the amount of times used have to be within a desired time frame? In what ways exactly does the skin improve? Is certain people more likely to see results than others?

The company does provide information such as not to use the liquid in dishwashing machines, medical instructions, ingredients, and a notice to keep out of children.

Worked great on my hands, so I put a bottle in my shower for body wash. No more itchy flakey skin!

Good review. I use the regular Dawn which is cheaper so I guess I'll stick to it.
