The Power of Fear

Fear

Kurt Evans
The power of fear is something that has the ability to stop us in our tracks before we even get started on something.

Churches And Fear

Churches know about the power of fear and they use it to keep their members full of fear of the wrath of God. They claim that if they don't do what the church says, that they will go straight to hell. If you don't bow down to God and show that you are a believer, then you will be damned for an eternity. Now, exactly how long is an eternity?

Governments And Fear

Governments know about the power of fear. Governments will show off their military might in the hopes that it will fill any prospective enemies with fear and make them think twice before attacking them. It's as if they're saying," my, oh my, look at the big missiles and bombs that we have. We could inflict some real damage with these." It's all good and well because their practicing winning through intimidation tactics until somebody with bigger balls comes along and actually uses a bomb to blow some stuff up, then it gets serious and real, quickly.

Advertising And Fear

Fear is also something that's used in advertising. You better buy this latest cold remedy because if you don't, you'll be sniffling and sneezing all night long.

Advertisers And Fear

Advertisers think that by filling us with fear to avoid certain circumstances and conditions that, that will get us to buy their products or services.

Parents And Fear

Fear is something that's used in all walks of life. Parents use it with their kids to get them to behave and obey.

Bosses And Fear

Bosses use fear to get their employees to fall in line and do what they're told.

Television News And Fear

The television news uses fear to let the citizens of the world know all the bad things that are going on in the world. Rather than being helpful and encouraging; the nightly news just fills us with more fear, giving us more reasons to crawl back into bed than to go out and face the world.
