The Power of Kabbalah

Kabbalah is the world's most ancient body of spiritual wisdom and is thought to contain the keys to the secrets of the universe and also to the mysteries of the human heart and soul. It appeared about four thousand years ago with the objective being to bring understanding and clarity to our lives by explaining the significance of the material and nonmaterial universe. The science of Kabbalah does not deal with anything ethereal; it only deals with the way we were created and how we operate at higher levels of existence. Studying the Kabbalah develops our desire to attain this higher level of existence. Even if we do not understand what we are reading, merely trying to understand the text nurtures this desire and brings us closer to God. It also attempts to teach us the physical and metaphysical nature of all humanity so that we may remove pain and suffering from our lives and live in freedom.

Kabbalistic sages have taught for thousands of years that all human beings are born with the potential to remove chaos from their lives and create unity in the world. Millions of people across the globe have discovered the wisdom of Kabbalah and have experienced the powerful effects it has on their lives. When people incorporate the wisdom of Kabbalah into their lives they find that the results are not only positive, but that their own religious practices are also enhanced. Kabbalah has often been confused with Judaism, but it should be noted that people from several different faiths, including Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and Jews practice the wisdom of the Kabbalah to improve their spiritual experiences.

The basic teaching of Kabbalah states that we were created to receive gifts, and in order to receive these gifts we must first earn them. It explains that by identifying the causes of negativity in our minds and in our hearts we are able to apply the tools of Kabbalah and make positive changes in our lives. By doing this we are actively engaging ourselves in spiritual work and thus earning these gifts. In taking on this work we are in the process of freeing ourselves from the control of the human ego and creating a relationship with the spirit of God. While we are in the mode of this transformation we are learning to let go of pain, disappointment, anger, jealousy, and other behaviors that are otherwise not positive. One of the most important teachings of Kabbalah is that we are not alone in this life's journey. There are tools, including the Bible, that are available for our guidance. By applying these tools we are given the opportunity to seek out other worlds and understand everything that happens to us. The most essential part of this process is that we gain control of our spiritual journeys. All human beings share the same ultimate purpose in life; we are entitled to the complete fulfillment and ecstasy that God has intended for us. This is our birthright.

"This wisdom is no more and no less than a sequence of roots, which hang down by way of cause and effect, in fixed, determined rules, weaving into a single, exalted goal described as the revelation of His Godliness to His creatures in this world." (Yehuda Ashlaq).
