The Power of One American Dollar

Correspondingly in Malaysia, One American Dollar is currently equivalent to approx.

RM 3.50 (Ringgit Malaysia). So to be fair, let's analyze what can a normal Malaysian does with RM 3.50 or One American Dollar?

Once I brought some loose foreign currencies, including one piece of One American Dollar Note to a money changer in the middle of Malacca City and they refused to change because its values were "too small" and "too troublesome"; they said!

I had to walk to another money changer operated by a local bank 1.5 km away to have my One American Dollar exchanged for RM 3.45 plus a weird look from the counter staff. That's when I asked "What's so great about the American Dollar?" On top of that, this RM 3.45 can only buy me a bowl of noodle by the road side hawker stall which cost me RM 3.00 and the balance of 45 sens can only be used to buy me some loose sweets from again road sides Mamak stalls.

I thought, many people must have taken for granted that it's just one of those America's One Dollar Note, no big deal right? How true! If it could happen in Semi-Developed countries like Malaysia, hell it could happen in many developed European, North American, Asia Pacific Australia, New Zealand and most probably Japan and China too. One single American Dollar note alone is probably not worth mentioning at all right?

I thought, if this one dollar note were to be landed in any of the hunger-stricken African countries; it would have caused a commotion that before you noticed, it's been swallowed as food to alleviate their starvations. Moreover, if ever this one dollar note stayed intact, it could also have fallen into warlords' hands already. And chances are they see it as too small a value to even bother where they've been kept; so long as it's within his custody. Worst still if it were to be combined together with millions of other one American dollar notes to perish as Weapons of Mass Destructions by terrorists; which was all!

So the question is why talked about this one American Dollar?

I read in one local Chinese Daily two months ago that I could make some American Dollars publishing articles in http://associatedcontent.com and there I started subscribing at http://www.associatedcontent.com/melakatoday . When I met travel writer Stu Lloyd http://stulloyd.com from down under; I remember he said "If I were to write, I must as well get paid for it!" hence I repositioned my writings from normal bloggings else where to Associated Content to meet the stringent requirements set forth in the hope to embark on writings as a new career!

Today, after publishing 15 articles, out of which were 24 chapters of my modern romantic novel, so-positioned to promote tourism industry to Malacca (Melaka), the 600 years old ancient city along the Straits of Malacca, entitled: the Voice in the Wilderness, I have manage to attract 180 Associated Content readers with a Performance Bonus of US 27cents generated.

Henceforth, to accomplish the aforesaid one American dollar by writing in this case calls for more efforts; in writing and publishing the readers-friendly articles, increase the frequencies of publishing, tag, link, rss and marketing my writings thru my pool of email addresses plus strangers cum visitors to MAM http://www.maritime.emalacca.com where I work.

That again, what can I possibly do with that one American dollar 'earned' thru writing?

First and foremost, I've felt the power of the American dollar by the tasks taken to earn it. With this first dollar being earned the 'hard' way, I shall value all upcoming monies; be it in whichever denominations.

Secondly, this one American dollar that I've earned is the springboard, a source of motivation as I can earn American dollars without touching American soil, without having the fear of facing another 911. I am starting to siphon American dollars without having to thank President George W. Bush personally! That's great!

Thirdly, with this American dollar so earned; I'm going to continue publishing; then go to sleep soundly at this part of the globe while others world over were reading my articles, following my novel that more American dollars could be generated. How wonderful!

Last but not least, I can donate this one American dollar to a foundation for eradication of poverty. But seriously tell my guys, which foundation accept one American dollar per person per donation for a noble mean like eradication of poverty?

These follow up activities would certainly generate more article contents for my publishing hence more funds would be generated. They go around and come around!

One American dollar is all that it takes to have my promise to put it to good use; now that it took me all these 'troubles' to market it.

There is only one question left if you ever hesitated in donating this one American dollar only to One-Dollar-Foundation; that could probably be:

How come nobody thought of it?

Guys, not only have I thought of it, I put it down, decorated with marketing strategies before I finally get it published on AC website. I did my homework right?

Well, I come, I write, I initiate, I positioned but you 'pay' with a sense of relieve that someone like me value one American dollar more than anybody else has finally appeared before this very one American dollar being swallowed as foodstuffs, turns as WMD and/or disappeared with seemingly no values to warlords etc.!
