The Power of the Ouija Board

Two Young Girls Brief Experience

JoAnn Selke
Lisa and Tina were so excited to have a turn with the Ouija Board. The young girls had no idea what door they would be opening. They went to Tina's room and closed the door. Lisa lit three candles while Tina set up the board. They had been dreaming of this day for months and it was finally here.

They sat across from each other with the board in the middle. Tina placed her fingertips on the pointer and moved it around on the board a few times. Lisa was a little nervous. "What should we ask it?" she asked. "I don't know," Tina responded. Lisa placed her fingertips on the pointer as well and they both slowly moved the pointer around. "Is there anyone there?" Lisa asked. They paused and just held their fingertips on the pointer. Nothing happened, so the girls tried again. "Is there anyone out there that would like to talk to us?" Lisa asked again. The girls paused, again just barely touching the pointer. The pointer began to move. The girls became excited. "It's working!" Tina exclaimed. "Are you moving it?" demanded Lisa. "No, I was not moving it!" said Tina. The pointer stopped moving. "Shhh, we have to be quiet." Tina stated. "Do you promise you are not moving it?" Lisa pleaded. "I promise!" Tina stated. "It really is working!" added Tina. "Okay, then," said Lisa.

The girls tried again. This time they asked together, "Is anyone out there that wants to talk to us?" The pointer moved slowly to the letter R, then I, then C, then K, and then Y. "Ricky!" the girls exclaimed. "Ok, Ricky. Where are you?" they asked. The pointer moved again. First to the R, then I, then C, K, Y, I, C, and finally U. The girls were confused. "Ricky, where are you?" they asked again. The pointer moved again, spelling out R-I-C-K-Y-I-C-U again. The girls were getting aggravated because they could not figure out what I-C-U meant. "Where could that be?" Tina asked. "Maybe it is his last name," Lisa responded. "That doesn't make sense," Tina said. Lisa agreed that it didn't make sense so they asked again. "Ricky, can you please tell us where you are?" they pleaded. The pointer spelled out R-I-C-K-Y, paused and added I-C-U. The girls repeated "Ricky I-C-U" a few times and then they both screamed. "He sees us!" The girls ran out of the room vowing never to touch a Ouija Board ever again.
