the Power of the Rolling Thunderclap

Daniel Rein
The other day I was sitting in my Math lecture class of about 400 students. The professor, who has enough trouble as it is speaking English, was making her boring lecture as she has everyday about some abstract mathematical concept that almost all of the students in the class will never use or see ever again. Just as I was about to fall asleep, the head teacher assistant who is a graduate female student started screaming as she occasionally does weekly about how the 400 students in the class were talking as the professor was speaking and not giving her respect. Although what she said was 100 percent true, no one cared because she was so darn annoying and all she did was screaming at the top of her lungs. Then, all of the sudden from the back of the lecture class, I hear the sound of a rolling Thunder Clap.

Now for those of you, who do not know of the power and addiction of the Rolling Thunder Clap, let me explain it to you. The Rolling Thunder Clap involves a slow but steady clap that gradually gains speed and momentum. It is often a clap used by the sound systems of sports teams to energize the home team to win the game. Now getting back to my story, as I heard the rolling thunder clap and its unmistakable sound, more and more students joined in. I soon looked around the 400 person room and saw more and more people join in for the clap. I picked it up and soon began clapping to the beat of the rolling thunder clap. Before I knew it, all 400 students who had been bored out of their minds starting doing the rolling thunder clap for a good 2 minutes. It was one of the greatest things that I had seen in my class the entire semester. When the rolling thunder clap had ended, several of the students at the back of the room started cheering at the accomplishment which was really amazing because the rolling thunder clap involved all 400 students in the room with the exception of the brown nosing ass kissing students in the front of the room. It just showed that one student can start something big and the actions of a person can inspire many others to follow in his footsteps. This series of actions also show the power and the addiction of the rolling thunder clap.

The rolling thunder clap has been utilized in sporting events throughout the nation. When one person in a huge football game of 100,000 people starts the rolling thunder clap, everyone around that person joins in until all of the people in his section are doing it and pretty soon everyone in the stadium is doing the rolling thunder clap. It is truly an inspiring scene and the home team really gets energized seeing all of the fans cheering them on.
