In today's world of engineered drugs where the medicine can sometimes cure one ailment only to cause another, we find more and more people are looking back to ancient remedies used by the Shaman, Witch Doctors, and Medicine Men.

Cinnamon is a very old spice that was used for embalming in Egyptian times. Cinnamon is derived from the bark of a tree.

While we think of Cinnamon as a fragrant spice that we use in baking we now discover it has potent power in healing.

Cinnamon can be used internally as well as externally and is credited with having anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. These anti-inflammatory properties are said to be useful in relieving the paidnof arthritis. Cinnamon is also a natural blood thinner and is believed to promote better circulation. It can aid in digestion and help in relieving congestion from colds.

From our spice rack to our breakfast table - a little cinnamon on our oatmeal may offer us more than just aroma and taste.
