The Power of Touch
the urge is so strong to engage the senses of the skin
yet we know that the connection needs to start deeper
the primal temptations woo us and beckon us to follow
yet something holds us back
knowing that our quest for the sublime takes time
and patience will give us clarity
the search for that synchronicity can be consuming
such that we falter in our step
forgetting what we longed for that led us here
and tempting the fate of fear
that ever present tempest that scrambles our thoughts
hoping to squelch the voice of our heart
the place where we find the courage to be who we are
and reach into ourselves and explore
so that we may know how to touch
