The Presidential Election 2008 and 2012

Agnes Farside
Obama is our president.
He is our elected official.
He received the votes
And won the 2008 election.
As head of our government
He raises our taxes.

Obama promised to lower taxes
When he was running for president,
But back then his word was not official.
The tally of the votes
Was not even close near the end of that election
And now he runs our government.

Many are protesting for less government
And for lower taxes.
They are upset with Obama the president.
His birth certificate is now official,
But will this get him the votes
In the 2012 election?

Next year, 2012, is the next presidential election.
Who will run for the highest office of our government,
Promising to lower taxes?
Many want to be president.
They want to make it official,
but will they get enough 2012 votes?

Republican and Democrat votes
In the 2012 election
Will determine our highest office of government,
And if we have higher or lower taxes.
Whoever runs for the office of president,
On November 6, 2012, it will be official.

On inauguration day, they will be official.
No more count will be needed of votes,
That might dispute the election.
A new head of government
Will raise our taxes,
Whether it be Mister or Madame President.

An election is held for the office of president.
The taxes are raised or lowered by this highest official
Of our government who is elected based on the majority of votes.

Nice work Agnes...very nice indeed. Oh, and vote early and often...after all, the Democrats do it all the time!LOL

Yep, that's the creed of any politician running for office, regardless of party affiliation; say whatever you have to say to get in. Granted, there are certainly times when they really do mean what they say and just face too much opposition from others in office, but too often, its all lies.

It's so sad - it seems that promises during the election run are quickly forgotten when they reach the Oval Office. cheers ;0

I voted for President Obama in '08, but certainly will not vote for him again.

Done in 1! But like Sheryl said, "there is absolutely no powerful contender"

  • Sheryl Young5/20/2011

My fear is there is absolutely no powerful contender, and we'll get another 4 yrs.
