They fulfill it through funding research, educating, and reaching out to communities.

Funding

The foundation has "provided funding for cancer prevention research and training to more than 300 scientists from over 150 of the most prestigious academic institutions and medical centers across the country." The research and funding is guided through their scientific review panel, research endowments, and medical advisory board. The funding helps research projects which can find better ways to prevent cancer.

Educating

The Prevent Cancer Foundation supports national and state level education conferences. They also support workshops and other educational initiatives. Sometimes educational opportunities blur into outreach opportunities as well.

Outreach

The organization supports awareness by sponsoring campaigns, prevention programs, publications and other awareness programs. The foundation reaches into communities through community grants programs, a mobile mammography program, a Celebremos La Vida program serving Latinas, and state fair health awareness and screening booths.
