The king wanted so bad to give the queen what she most desired, but no matter how much they tried the queen could not get pregnant. She went to doctor after doctor to see what was wrong with her and try to find out why she couldn't get pregnant. Finally, one of the doctors decided to have the king tested to see if maybe there was something wrong with him that was preventing the queen from becoming pregnant. After all these tests and nothing seemed to be physically wrong with either the queen or king, the queen decided that it just wasn't meant to be and accepted the fact that she would never have a baby of her own.
Then one day, the queen woke up not feeling well but went about her business as usual, talking to maid Mama, gardener Robbie and all the rest of the help. By the middle of the day, she was tired and really felt like she needed a nap. She laid down for what was supposed to be a small "cat nap" and woke up four hours later. This continued for a few weeks so she decided to call in Dr. Joffy. Dr. Joffy checked out queen SueSue and found nothing wrong with her. Queen SueSue went home feeling a little depressed but accepted the doctor's findings. When the queen didn't feel any better she went to see the doctor again, and he ran one more test and gave her the good news. Queen SueSue and King LouLou were about to become parents. The queen could not wait to get home and tell the king the wonderful news. She had her chauffeur drive as fast as he could to the castle only to find that the king was out in town and would not be home until dinner time. She couldn't wait to give him the good news. At the dinner table, the queen had arranged for a pair of baby booties to be put on the kings plate. When maid Mama brought in their dinner, the king lifted the lid off of his plate and much to his surprise instead of food there was a pair of baby booties on his plate. He looked at maid Mama and the queen in dismay. The queen all full of smiles, jumped up from her seat and ran over to the king and told him of the good news. The king was so happy he didn't know what to do. He knew that the queen wanted this more than anything and the fact that she was so happy made him happy.
Queen SueSue was so excited she ordered gardener Robbie to search the land for the prettiest roses he could find and to plant the biggest rose garden ever seen. The queen wanted the kingdom to be the prettiest piece of land ever seen by any human being for the future king or queen. Gardner Robbie left the castle and searched high and low all over the world for several months. Finally he found the prettiest roses he had ever seen. These roses were white with a hint of both pink and blue. He had never seen anything like this before. He couldn't wait to take one of them home for the queen's approval, he was sure that she would agree with him that they were the most beautiful roses known to man. He took a rose to the queen for her approval, the queen was so pleased with this rose that she sent him back to get as many as he could. Gardner Robbie left again to get as many of these roses as he could find. Robbie's wife Bee became very upset that her husband was gone for so long and that all of his attention was being paid to the queen. She began to become very jealous of the queen and the new baby that the queen was going to have very soon. She begged him to stay home with her more, but Robbie knew he had to please the queen in order to keep his job. Then Bee asked Robbie to give the rose that he had brought home to her so she could start her own rose garden, but Robbie refused knowing the queen would be upset if she weren't the only one with these roses. This upset Bee even more and made her more jealous of the queen and her future baby. Bee began to think about doing something to sabotage the rose garden.
Meanwhile, the queen was preparing for the birth of her baby and decided to hire a playmate for her child. After interviewing several people for the job, she decided on Joker Joe. Joker Joe was a tall thin man who loved children and loved playing with them. He loved doing magic tricks, He was the perfect person to play with the prince or princess. He could make anyone laugh anytime. He also, unknown to the queen, had magical powers.
Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime, the queen had her baby. A beautiful baby girl. The king and queen named their precious daughter Princess MooMoo. Princess MooMoo had beautiful golden brown hair with a few curls and the prettiest blue eyes anyone had ever seen. Princess MooMoo was a happy baby who smiled all the time. She seemed to always be happy. The queen was so happy that she finally had her precious baby and that she was such a happy child. Maid Mama, gardener Robbie and Joker Joe couldn't believe how beautiful the little princess was. Joker Joe absolutely loved playing with the little princess. Everyone one of the king and queen's servants adored the little princess and spent as much time as they could adoring the beautiful baby. Meanwhile, Robbie's wife became more and more jealous of everything her husband was doing for the queen. He spent all day taking care of the rose garden, watering the flowers making sure there were no weeds, pruning the rose bushes; when he finally came home at night he was too tired to spend any time with his wife.
The king and queen had a party to celebrate the birth of their beautiful princess. All of the servants and all of the townspeople were invited. This was the biggest party the people of the land had been invited to in a very long time. Bee wanted to go, but was told by the gardner Robbie that this party wasn't the kind of thing that she would enjoy, he feared that she would do something to embarrass him because he knew that she was jealous. This made Bee even angrier at the queen. She decided that she would figure out a way to get even with the queen and the little princess that all of this fuss was about.
Time went on and Princess MooMoo grew bigger and prettier every day. When she was little she loved looking out the window at the roses that were planted just for her and watching Robbie work in the garden. She loved watching Joker Joe do tricks. As she got bigger, Joker Joe would take her outside and the two of them would play in the rose garden all day long. Bee would watch them out of her window, still thinking of how to get even with the queen. Then one day she had an idea.
One night while everyone was asleep, Bee went out to the rose garden and picked one of the roses, and replaced it with an evil magical troll named Dom. Dom could make himself look like one of the roses so that no one would know that he was there, but would do evil things when no one was looking. When the princess and Joker Joe would be outside playing, Dom would make it rain so they had to go inside. This would make the princess upset, and Bee would watch as Joker Joe went inside the castle carrying the crying princess. Bee would laugh in delight from her kitchen window. He would also jump out and poke the princess with his thorns as she would run by and then turn himself into the rose again before anyone could see him. Dom would do anything he could think of to make the princess cry and be unhappy.
One day, while the princess was outside playing by herself in the rose garden something strange happened. This day Dom chose to let the princess see him. The princess ran inside and got Joker Joe, but by the time they got back outside, Dom had turned himself back into the rose laughing to himself that he had pulled this off. Joker Joe couldn't understand what the princess was talking about, all he could see were beautiful roses in the yard, but decided to have gardener Robbie check the roses out and pull and get rid of any that weren't as beautiful as the others or any that looked strange a. Robbie spent all day doing this. He worked from sun up to sun down in the rose garden, when he got home he was too tired to even eat dinner. He went to bed and Bee was very angry that her husband didn't eat the dinner that she had prepared for the two of them.
That night Bee went out and had a talk with Dom. She told him that he had to start doing things to the princess every time he saw her. She wanted the princess to be sad all the time, knowing that this would make the queen sad as well. Dom thought and thought about what he could do next to the princess.
Everyday princess MooMoo would run in and tell Joker Joe, Maid Mama, gardener Robbie and the queen something that happened while she was in the rose garden, but every time they went out all they saw were beautiful roses. Dom would laugh and laugh because no one could see him except Princess MooMoo.
Then one night Joker Joe, who was confused about what to do to make the princess happy again, decided to secretly watch as the princess went out to play. Lo and behold, he finally saw Dom. Joker Joe went outside and when he got there, Dom had turned himself back into a beautiful rose. Joker Joe decided to hide close by and grab Dom the very next time he saw him do something to the princess. The very next time when Dom decided to poke at Princess MooMoo, Joker Joe decided to use some of his magical powers to turn Dom into a nice little boy. Then Joker Joe took the princess out to play. When Joker Joe and the princess were outside playing, they saw a little boy standing in the yard. The princess went over to Dom and asked him if he wanted to play. Dom and Princess MooMoo played together all day long and had such a good time. Joker Joe was so glad to see the princess happy again. One day Joker Joe decided to take Dom into the castle and told the queen and king that he had just found this little boy wondering around the rose garden. He told the king and queen how wonderful the little boy and the princess had played together and how happy the princess was again. The king and queen went into the princess' room and asked her about this. The princess was in such a lovely mood that the king and queen were in disbelief. This made the queen very happy again. The queen decided that they should try to find out who this little boy was, and invite him and his mother over everyday to play with the princess. The queen decided that she would pay the mother of this little boy to bring him over to play with her little princess. She didn't care how much it cost as long as her little princess was happy.
The king and queen called upon all of the people of the land and asked them if anyone knew whose child this was. No one throughout the entire land had ever seen this child therefore the king and queen didn't know what to do. The king sent out his messengers to search far away lands to see if anyone knew who this precious little boy was. Much to the surprise of the king and queen, nobody knew the little boy or of anyone that had a child this age that they were searching for. The king and queen did not know what to do. This poor little boy with no family, what should they do?
Joker Joe went to the queen one day and suggested to her that since Dom and Princess MooMoo enjoyed playing with each other so much that maybe the king and queen could adopt the little boy and give the princess a brother. The queen liked this idea so much that she went and asked the king if they could do this. The king agreed and the princess and new little prince lived happily ever after playing with Joker Joe, maid Mama and gardener Robbie.
