If you live in extreme cold or heat, I would suggest you potty train them indoors so that they do not have to bear the bad weather. Chihuahuas are more fragile then any animal that I know of, so you need to take additional care so they do not get sick. When you Chihuahua gets older they will be prone to knee and joint problems, which is typical of the breed.

The average Chihuahua weighs about 6 pounds. That is the size of a small newborn baby. This will give you some comparison, A lot of Chihuahua owners prefer to have teacup size, which is only a few pounds. Make sure you are committed to the care and needs of a Chihuahua before you make a purchase. You have to be prepare to take care of the needs and you will be very rewarded.
