The Problems of the People by the People

Thoughts on the Problems Facing This Great Country

William
If you listen, watch, or read the news, you know that there are many problems that plague this country. Some people find themselves asking: how did this happen, what did the government do wrong, who is to blame?

I am of the opinion that we are all to blame. We the people of the United States of America are to blame. The evidence can be seen all around us: hate, violence, crime, drugs, oppression, abuse, infidelity, theft, murder, ignorance, irresponsibility, neglect, racism... the list goes on and on. You may say, "I have not done any of that." Well I would hope not, but you have. We all have. Are you ignorant of important issues? Are you neglectful of your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers? When was the last time you volunteered at the food bank? When was the last time you donated to the food bank, or the Red Cross? Sometimes all someone needs is a smiling face and hello (but don't stop there -- help those in need). As I said the list goes on and on. You are on the list. What matters is how much you put on the bad list and how much you put on the good list.

This country was created for the people by the people! This is your land, this is your country. Don't wait for some government official to fix all of your problems. We have a responsibility to this country. We are the United States of America. The government is not the country. If the country fails to accomplish something, that is our failure. Not the government's. Take up your responsibility and work to save this country. Every little bit counts. You can start by calling your local Red Cross, or similar organization.

This article applies to all Americans. It considers no boundary, race, position, gender, age, creed, or religion. This is a plea to all Americans to work for a better America, for all.

But the world is not all bad, there is much good left in it. Our choice is what will we contribute to, the good or the bad? Start at home, teach your families. Stand a little taller, take responsibility for your actions, good or bad. Look around your homes, schools, work places, and communities for ways to contribute for the good of you, me, us, the people.

I hope that people will read this and think: what have I done? So please don't try to fight me, I will not respond.

As Benjamin Franklin once said "If we don't hang together, we will surely hang separately."

It is even harder to reach the people who are okay with everything going on, as long as they are achieving what they want. This kind of person can look into a mirror after performing horrendous acts and smile with satisfaction in themselves. The amount of ignorance i witness everyday is astounding. It's like some people truly believe in their actions and will never be swayed to think differently. It will be hard to change the country as long as these kinds of people exist.

A thought provoking article. We can still make a serious attempt and suceed in improving the quality of life. This requires positive thinking, mind conrol and placing a ceiling on human stupidity. I would call it go for sustainable stupidity.

    Agreed.

But we still have to try. What else can we do?

I have found no solution to hatred, bigotry and thick skulls that do not understand that black is simply skin pigmentation. As one example. I gave up on voicing my concerns to the government when one official wrote back saying he was vigoursly working to pass legislation that I asked him to oppose. I have since learned they the elected simply put tic marks of "yes" or "no". Along with thousands of others how long has it taken my actions to affect change via Hillary, before she could finally admit "we acted on false intelligence". My answer is still: both.

Things have gotten a bit worse for black people in the USA if white people do not know that black people do live just like white people. Again my answer is both. If you read my KKK article, I do blame the government for allowing the Klan to exist. We send our troops into foreign lands on the pretense of killing terrorists and yet allow a terrorist group to survive in the USA based on "freedom of religion" or "freedom of speech". So that a good portion of US citizens in our melting pot of society have their civil rights to the pursuit of happiness denied in favor of haters.

It has yet to be proven in court that 6 boys were involved in the incident; the only one tried was fried due to what the law calls "hositile" or unreliable witnessess. Yet people are ready to lynch and hang not only the 6 teens, but their families as well. So eloquently stated on newsarticle or You Tube comments "we have to put the N's in their place" or "they should live like white people and they would not have problems".

Funny, that "we can put a man on the moon" and communicate with strangers in India and China (as an example) electronically, but can not seem to find a way to solve differences without killing wars. The Towers and Palm Islands and the starving kids in Dufar are a good example of that. Jena? A tennis shoe becomes a lethal weapon, a teen losing his temper after being repeatedly verbally attached, becomes "attempted murder" and the White Supremasts are publically, via the Internet, calling for the "brave" person to see that "justice is done".

I understand the people in office can sometimes become corrupt. You still have a choice to affect change, voice your concerns! If there is a problem then find a solution.

You are right, things are looking like the 60's and 70's lately. Funny huh? Don't you think we would have solved all of those problems by now?
