waiting for Spring to show
for the sun to warm my skin
for the new May to wander in
Imprisoned by the cold
just waiting for my beauty to unfold
the warmth of the sun will nourish me
ever so excited, by the promise of Spring
I am emerging slowly, finding my own
no longer feeling indifferent and alone
I am blooming, oh the sight!
my petals soaking in the sunlight
What a joyous feeling and sound
with sunlight hugging the ground
my petals glisten and sing, for all to see
standing proud an tall, the winter can't take that from me
And that my friend, is the wonderful Promise of Spring!
