It has also been said that pubic hair forms an air pocket to keep the area cool. Without that air pocket, that area can get sweaty, a perfect breeding ground for yeast and bacteria.
Shaving the pubic area has its own risks. That area can get dirty and full of bacteria, and if there's a nick or cut, than that cut is likely to get infected. Ingrown hairs are infections on their own, and they're very uncomfortable. The skin down there is very sensitive, and prone to razor burn, which is never pleasant. Neither is stubble, which is worse there than it is on the legs or even armpits. Waxing is safer, but if not done properly can cause an infection. There have also been stories of waxing parlors using unsanitary equipment!
Another purpose of pubic hair is to give off pheromones, which are supposed to help a woman attract a mate. Sex can feel a little lacking without those natural pheromones, even if there's no hair down there.
Because of the health risks, some women decide to trim. Trimming does have benefits, it can make oral sex easier, and can make menstruation a little neater, but it's not as risky to her health. This can be a good compromise for many couples who find themselves in conflict over something to simple as shaving.
To many women, their pubic hair is what separates them from the girls. It's womanly, mature, and natural. What the goddess gave her. It should be her decision whether to shave it, wax it, trim it, or leave it be. It's her health, and that's more important than her partner's sexual pleasure.
A shaved pubic region may be sexually appealing to a man, but to a woman is means a number of health risks. Women can choose to shave if they want, but they should know the risks involved. Men should know these risks as well, and should never pressure women to shave down there. Women should never be made to feel as though they need to put their man before their health.

according to 666 women who like men who shave their beards/backhair/chest hair/pubic hair are also pedos and creeps too? see the flawed logic there? GG NO RE NUB
well if asking a women to shave down there is bad then im growing a beard and if women don't like that well then too bad suckas!
I've shaved my pubic hair for my OWN pleasure since I was 15 because I believe it is disgusting. I have only had two sexual partners, and I am now 28. Perhaps being gay is part of the reason as the acts undertaken between two women are far more pleasurable with a smooth pussy, trust me. But there have been years when I have not been sexually active with anyone and I have shaved every DAY. I feel cleaner, it feels better when I touch myself, there is very little or no odour. There's nothing worse than that 'stale vag' smell you get when you go into a public toilet just after someone else and you just know they were either seriously unwashed or sporting a full bush! It's horrible! Nobody wants to smell that! Never ever has anyone complained about my lack of pubes and I think every woman should trim it at the very least! A partner may put up with a full bush because, well, it's better that than not get their leg over at all, but the majority would prefer a neat pus
Guys attracted to bald vaginas = creeps and pedos.
I am a man, and I think I prefer for a woman NOT to shave. Maybe, a slight trimm.
As stated by previous comments, this article is ridiculous. There is no scientific evidence that shaving pubes is more or less of a cause for bacteria and moisture. On one hand hair traps sweat and urine, on the other hand it forms a barrier from dirt, which is rather irrelevant if you wear pants! Besides, children do not have pubic hair and I understand they get less infections than abstinent adults. And all the comments about shaving as an attempt to look like a child are ridiculous inventions of lazy women to get out of shaving. It's like saying women who shave their pits or men who shave their faces are trying to turn you on by looking like children, it's simply not true.
trimmed is the way to go...
this same flawed argument could be said about underarm hair, yet I don't see anyone arguing for THAT! '
Shaved is good, waxed is best!
biased crap.
