It is configured to handle widescreen monitors and its specifications contain troubleshooting subsystems that connect the computer diagnoses to help menus. Its interface has the capability to position the desktop gadgets on any side the user prefers unlike in Vista wherein it is limited to place the gadgets to sidebar only. The taskbar in Windows 7 has Aero Peek for mouse-over display and presence of pinned programs instead of a Quick launch bar. Moreover, Windows 7 provides more power-saving options for laptop users. It has the capacity to launch XP mode and find text in a TIFF file.

The cons of Windows 7 are its high cost and poor driver support. The minimum hardware requirement for Windows 7 to allow all of the features to function properly is a hard drive of 20GB for a 64-bit architecture and 1GHz processor which is very demanding for some users.
