She put together many jigsaw puzzles through the years:
Some scenic, others charming, one of rabbits with big ears.
The pieces fit in certain ways to make to picture whole.
The pictures helped an empty spot she felt within her soul.
So puzzle after puzzle filled the hours of her days
Until the day she rose and said "I'm through with my malaise."
She packed her car and drove away toward the setting sun,
Convinced that only now had her real life at last begun.
She drove for days until she started up a mountain peak,
Then stopped to view a sky blue lake, there playing hide-and-seek.
She kept on going 'til she reached the desert far below
And watched a palm tree dancing in a breezy, sandy show.
A rose garden called and she answered, breathing perfumed air
And listened to the resonance of bells a mission shared.
When she had seen reality without the puzzle cutouts,
She knew God's beauty was a gift, a prize without a doubt.

Post a CommentLove this! I often say that God has handed each of us a "connect-the-dots" puzzle and when we pause to reflect on His truths, we begin to see the Big Picture! Much like the puzzle that you describe, cheers ;)
