The Quality Inn at Kodak, Tennessee is a Welcome Smoky Mountain Respite!

Stay at This Hotel and Relax!

Located at 155 West Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak, Tennessee, this hotel is so worth the money!

The Quality Inn Hotel at Kodak, Tennessee is just off Interstate 40 approximately 30 miles east of Knoxville, Tennessee at Exit 407, which is the Winfield Dunn Parkway. Exit going south, cross over the Interstate, and take a right on West Dumplin Valley Road. This location is convenient to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Staying here at this Quality Inn takes the stress out of touring the area because the traffic is minimal; plus there is easy access to the touristy spots, shopping, restaurants and quaint eateries. Rooms range from queen, double queen, king, and king suites, all of which are fresh and clean.

The hotel staff is full of information regarding the surrounding area and can help you decide where to eat and the best places to shop. They can also fill you in on what shows are playing in Dollywood and surrounding theaters.

The rate on my king room was $50.00 which was a steal in this area during the winter months, as tourist and skiing traffic is high this time of year. Amenities in the rooms include refrigerators and microwaves, plus coffee makers. There is ample space for large pet carriers, and yes, this hotel is pet friendly with a $10.00 non-refundable deposit. There is a 40 lb. weight limit on dogs, but the staff was flexible on this with my lab puppy (thank goodness), and they also limit it to two pets per room. (Hmmm, I wonder if as my lab gets bigger I can rent him his own room,--he is getting hoggish with the bed space).

Although there is no restaurant at this Quality Inn location there are so many eateries within a mile or two it doesn't matter! Of course breakfast is included with the room, and the upgraded continental meal was perfect for starting the day.

Whether you are just passing through or planning on staying and experiencing all there is to experience in this area, the ease of access for this hotel will make you glad you chose to stay here. Close by you can head into Gatlinburg which is busy any time of the year, and Pigeon Forge which is a fun tourist area to shop and maybe see some shows. The Smoky Mountain Knife Works is a few miles south on Winfield Dunn Parkway, with travel down this parkway also taking you past Dollywood, The Titanic Museum, and many other attractions.

This writer has made many trips through this area, staying in different lodgings each time, and at different times of the year. There are cabins available to rent by the night, week, or month, with accommodations for singles or groups and rates to match the seasonal celebrations. There are rooms on downtown Gatlinburg Rivers; or overlooking the ski areas. Anything one would want in a place to stay is available. However, I find this Quality Inn location to be the easiest to access, and quietest to return to after a day of touristy activities.

When traveling through Tennessee on Interstate 40 please stop over at Exit 407, check into the Quality Inn and enjoy yourself. The room rate is very reasonable, the room itself comfortable, the staff friendly and the Smoky Mountains always welcoming.

Come for a day, stay for a week, that's what I did!
