As we wrestle with our demons
We often hurt the ones we love.
We don't really mean to do it
But Satan gives a shove.
Let us learn to cast him out
Before the battles start,
For sticks and stones
May break our bones,
But words will wound the heart.
Flesh will heal, scars will fade,
The longer that we live.
But we only heal from inside
When we can forgive.

Post a CommentReall good poem.
I love this. Before reading this I was thinking about quarrels I've had with people, and in most cases they were the ones getting angry over things I didn't consider worth getting upset about. It's really sad to waste moments of our lives being angry. We can never get those moments back, and it causes a lot of pain. Very good!
This is very true. Thank you for sharing.
Great advice, J.E. I wish some of those "bad" people would read this over and over and over again. Maybe it could help.
