Setting goals can be the difference between accomplishing everything you have every wanted in life and not feeling lost or unappreciated. Many times we find that days turn into weeks, weeks into months and months into years, time always finds a way to pass faster then we would like. Before you know it, you might find that you have not fulfilled any of your dreams. So let us start setting some goals to get you ahead today.

First, you must ask yourself what do you really want to be. Now some might say that they want to be happy, have a better job, or make more money. You can accomplish all of these things and more if you are willing to put a lot of hard work into it. The key to finding out what your goals should be in your heart. It helps to think back over the years how many times you have felt happy. If you do something you love, you will be able to find that better job and make more money. If your goal was to be happier then you must also look at things that are keeping you from being truly happy. For instance, if you aren't happy because you aren't making enough connections with your family or friends you can ask yourself what is keeping you from contacting them? Maybe it's as simple as you don't have their contact information or your to busy with other things that keep you away from them. Once you target what the problem is you will be able to construct what you want to happen. The way to make these goals happen is to write down what they are when you think of them so that you can start working on coming up with a plan.

Step two is coming up with a plan. You can do this a couple different ways you can talk to someone who already has accomplished the goal or you can seek help through different types of media. If you are looking for someone's comments on the goal in question, I suggest you go to a website called 43 things. There you will see what goals you have set and see what other people have to say about it. Another great resource is your local library and of course, there are great resources on the internet. You can research the path that you want to take to make that dream come true.

Step three is putting the plan into motion. If you want to stick with it make a conscious decision to remove anything that will distract you from reaching your goal. If you find yourself heading off track take a minute or two every day to visualize what life will be like once you have accomplished your goal.
