The Quickest Way to Treat Diaper Rash and the Other Many Uses

Sophie
Aquaphor healing ointment by Eucerin is an extraordinary product and has many uses. I find myself using it on a daily basis and it is used for just about everything. It was first recommended by my daughters' pediatrician for the treatment or prevention of irritation in the creases of skin or more importantly, diaper rash, and boy does it work. After I had my first child, I attempted to go back to work for about a week and in that time my child got a really bad diaper rash while she was being cared for at the day care. I took the doctors advice and to my amazement, it cleared up over night. It is great to use as a preventative against diaper rash because it creates a barrier when applied liberally. I usually apply it at each diaper change, especially at night when diaper changes are less frequent.

We started using it for the baby, but after seeing how quickly it heals, the whole family is using it. My two-and-a-half year old gets a lot of use out of the healing ointment since she is always getting some sort of scrape or cut. I swear it cuts the healing process in half. Plus, it helps with the reduction of scarring. My daughter has very sensitive skin which will sometimes get a little irritated from hugging or playing with our dog, so we clean her face, and then apply Aquaphor to clear it right up.

My husband and I use it on our hands to either replenish or protect our skin from the drying effects of windy, dry, cold weather. We also blow our nose quite often, (must be the dry California weather), and a little dab of Aquaphor helps treat or prevent dry and irritated skin. Who wants to walk around with a sore, irritated, red nose?

I have so many personal uses for Aquaphor. I use it to prevent and treat chapped lips. It is amazing how soft and supple it leaves my lips and skin. I usually apply it on my neck, face, and lips before going to bed and let it do its thing overnight. I also apply it to my knees and elbows after showering to keep them soft and moisturized. If I happen to get a burn from baking, cooking or even my curling iron, I quickly put Aquaphor on it and not only does it help with the pain, but it also heals it without it leaving a scar.

This stuff is truly outstanding. I hope you like it as much as we do!
