The Second in a Series that Will Help You Choose the Right Candidate for Presidential Election 2008
If you ever wanted to be president, 2008 is the year to run. It seems that everyone is tempting fate this next election and it can get confusing. I'm here to let you in on some of the major front runners. This is a great place to start if you want to get the facts straight on who's who. Over the coming months, I'll be bringing all the info to you about our country's possible future leaders, so bookmark my page. I'll also let you in on some key web sites that you'll want to venture to in order to find out more.
The second in this series will include information on two more candidates for presidency: Senator John McCain and Governor Mitt Romney.
It is our duty as American Citizens to learn about the candidates running for presidential office and make an informed decision. Who should you support? Who should you vote for? Read on to help make that decision.
Senator John McCain, Republican, Arizona
Born: August 29, 1936
Parents: John S. McCain, Sr. and Roberta Wright McCain
Married to: Cindy Hensley, 1981
Children: 7 children and 4 grandchildren
Makes his home in: Phoenix, Arizona
Senator McCain's web site boasts leadership and experience as two of his best qualifications. McCain has much experience in the military, as he is the son and grandson of Navy Admirals. He served on the USS Forrestal and experienced being a prisoner of war for over 5 years. His naval honors include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Issues important to Senator McCain include, but are certainly not limited to: Reforming Washington, Government Spending, Human Dignity and the Sanctity of Life, Lobbying and Ethics Reform, the Consequences of Failure in Iraq, National Security, and Stewards of Our Nations Rich Natural Heritage.

Governor Mitt Romney, Republican, Massachusetts
Born: March 12, 1947,
Parents: George W. Romney and Lenore Romney
Married to: Ann Romney, 1968
Children: 5 Children and 10 grandchildren
Makes his home in: Belmont, Massachusetts
Former Governor for the state of Massachusetts, Romney is known as a leader and well known for his accomplishments in the private and public sectors of life. He led the 2002 Olympics to success, decreased unemployment in Massachusetts, and is very involved in community events. Romney has a BA degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Some of the issues important to Romney include: Defeating the Jihadists, Competing with Asia, Simplifying the Tax System, Stopping Runaway Spending, Getting Immigration Right, Achieving Energy Independence, Affirming America's Culture and Values, Investing in Technology, Extending Health Insurance to All Americans, and Raising the Bar on Education.
