Kenner, LA 70065
United States of America
This lovely hotel is located fifty steps away from two of Kenner's busiest streets, Williams Blvd and Veterans Blvd. It is perhaps the best place to stay if you are looking to tour New Orleans but don't want to stay within the crowded city. Across the street is a 24-Hour McDonalds and many restaurants opening up around the intersection. Being less than 5 minutes away from the airport doesn't sound bad either.
The Rooms
The rooms are very spacious. They will accommodate you if you need a suite. Every room comes with a sleep number bed. These things really do make you feel like you are sleeping on a bed of feathers or light as a cloud. Noise level was almost completely silent. In the center of the room is a big screen TV with the usual pay channels and local channels. The bathroom is also quite big and spacious. Very nice and well kept rooms usually makes or breaks a hotel. This one makes it.
Parking
Parking is usually a pain at many places. Some of which only have valet, or require you to park a mile away. This hotel graciously has a parking lot behind the building. Even if you park at the farthest spot, it's a short walk back to the fluffy cloud you call a bed in the room.
Hotel
Amenities include laundry, horseshoe-shaped heated pool, large gym, and a restaurant. All of which are within 10 seconds of walking distance. Infact, they are so close together that you forget that you walked to get to your destination. The pool here is well kept and graciously lighted for beauty and security for swimming at dusk. The gym is quite large and contains many circuit and cardio exercise equipment to accommodate even the most rigorous work out routines. The restaurant, unfortunately, like all other hotels are a bit over priced. With each dish nearing the twenty dollar mark, you may be better off getting a dinner for four at the Mickey D's across the street.
Overall
In comparison to other hotels, this one exceeds many of the expectations one would guess of a 2-star hotel. Staff is courteous and helpful. Prices are usually lower than competitive, and the comfort makes you feel like you're at home. From the spacious rooms to the clear water clean pool, if you choose to visit the crescent city or the Kenner area, be sure to check this hotel out! I rank this hotel a 4.5 out of 5!
